EC - E what? Elevation Certificate (nothing to do with elevators: ) What is it and why might you need one? An Elevation Certificate is an important tool that documents your building’s elevation. This Fact Sheet provides valuable information for homeowners about elevation certificates and flood insurance. This link explains why your insurance company may require you to have one. They previous owner, insurance company, county, builder or city may have an older one. Otherwise, either the Buyer or Seller may need to get a new one from a land surveyor. COBRA for insurance doesn't usually refer to snakes :) What is CRBA? Can you still get Flood Insurance? The answer is most likely: YES - through private companies.
The Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA) protects coastal areas that serve as barriers against wind and tidal forces caused by coastal storms, and serve as habitat for aquatic species.
